On Sunday, vegan race car driver Lewis Hamilton broke Formula One’s all-time win record—previously held by racing legend Michael Schumacher—after securing his 92nd Grand Prix win at the Portuguese Grand Prix. As the crowd gave him a standing ovation, the 35-year-old athlete celebrated the historic victory with his father, stepmother, and vegan dog Roscoe.

星期天（10月25日），纯素赛车手刘易斯·汉密尔顿（Lewis Hamilton）在葡萄牙大奖赛（Portuguese Grand Prix）上勇夺个人的第92个大奖赛冠军，从而打破了之前由赛车传奇人物迈克尔·舒马赫保持的F1（一级方程式赛车）分站赛历史纪录。刘易斯·汉密尔顿与到场观战的父亲、继母还有他的纯素狗狗Roscoe（“罗斯科”）共同欢庆这一历史性的胜利，现场观众也纷纷起立热烈鼓掌祝贺这名35岁的优秀运动员。

“Today is beyond my wildest dreams. I couldn’t be here today without my team, continuously innovating and pushing the barrier in this game. I’m so grateful to have you guys by my side through this journey,” Hamilton said on Instagram. “It doesn’t matter how many Sundays we do this, it’s always a challenge. None of this has been easy. It’s been such a privilege to work with you all. I’m thinking of Michael today, I will forever have the utmost admiration and respect for you, it’s truly been an honour to be mentioned in the same sentence as you.”

To celebrate the win, Portuguese street artist Huariu painted a giant mural of Hamilton on a grassy field and Sky Sports released a mini-documentary to highlight Hamilton’s incredible driving career.

为了庆祝汉密尔顿此次的历史性胜利，葡萄牙的街头艺术家Huariu在一块草地（足球场）上画了一幅汉密尔顿的巨幅壁画；英国天空体育台（Sky Sports）则发布了一部微型纪录片，突出展现汉密尔顿精彩辉煌的赛车生涯。

Hamilton went vegan in 2017 and has since used his platform to promote a variety of issues that involve the environment and animal welfare, including urging his followers to go vegan, ditch leather, and boycott animal exploitation for entertainment. As the only Black Formula One driver, Hamilton has also used his fame to fight for racial justice both on and off the track and wore a mask emblazoned with “Black Lives Matter” while celebrating his record-breaking win in Portugal.
